Need Stressed to Bolster Railway System

In an important meeting, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi engaged with former Minister for Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar to discuss the development and challenges facing Pakistan Railways. The meeting emphasized the need for collaboration and experience sharing to bolster the railway system.

Tarar extended his congratulations to Abbasi on his recent appointment and offered best wishes for the effective operation of Pakistan Railways. He condemned the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express near Paneer Railway Station in Bolan, where an attempted hijacking led to passengers being taken hostage. He expressed solidarity with the affected individuals and their families.

Abbasi acknowledged Tarar’s contributions to the railway sector, underscoring the importance of leveraging the experience of past leadership to enhance the system. Discussions also covered ongoing projects and operational strategies, with Abbasi reaffirming his commitment to modernizing the railway network through stakeholder collaboration.

Both leaders conveyed mutual respect and dedicated themselves to the continued advancement and stability of Pakistan Railways.
