CDA-DWP approves PC-I of water project for Model Prison at H-16 Islamabad

The CDA-DWP in its 74th meeting on Tuesday approved the PC-I of the project “Providing and Laying External Water Supply Network for Model Prison at H-16, Islamabad” with a cost of Rs248.989 million.

The project aims to provide drinking water to Model Prison and Jinnah Medical Complex, Sector H-16. The meeting also approved PC-II amounting to Rs11.00 million for ‘Hiring of Advisory Services for newly established ‘Islamabad Water’ (Water and Sewerage utility) at Islamabad”.

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired the 74th meeting of the Capital Development Authority’s Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) at CDA Headquarters.

The meeting was attended by concerned senior officers of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Division, Ministry of Interior, Finance Division, Members of the CDA Board and officers of relevant formations.

The Federal Cabinet has approved establishment of Islamabad Water in October, 2024. Accordingly, CDA needs technical support for transition period of one year to strengthen the Islamabad water and in this context PC-II of the project was approved.
