Former Federal Minister of Petroleum and Chairman of Nizam-e-Mustafa Party, Dr. Haji Muhammad Hanif Tayyab, in his Friday sermon at Alana Masjid, Shoe Market, condemned Israeli actions in Gaza and termed the humanitarian crisis as “extremely grave”. He expressed full support for the people of Gaza and said that the relentless bombardment, which began in October 2023, continues.
Reports indicate that the death toll has exceeded 57,000, including men, women, and children, while more than 150,000 have been injured. Independent investigations reveal that the number of deaths has crossed 100,000. Medical facilities are scarce, depriving millions of displaced Palestinians of basic necessities like clean water, food, and medicine. Thousands of children have died of hunger, with an increase in human rights and international law violations. Dr. Tayyab expressed regret over the inaction of Muslim leaders, international organizations, human rights advocates, interfaith organizations, and peace-claiming countries, while highlighting the financial and military aid provided to Israel by the United States.
Dr. Tayyab declared Israel a terrorist organization and called for collective action from Muslim governments to help Palestinian Muslims. He prayed for the recovery of Qari Muhammad Ali Qasuri, Muslim unity, the liberation of Palestine and Gaza, deliverance from oppression, and an end to Israeli violence. Hafiz Muhammad Haroon also addressed the gathering, while Hafiz Muhammad Wasim Qadri offered salutations to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
