Officials of China’s renowned Yutong Bus Company met with Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, and Provincial Minister for Energy, Development and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, in Shanghai, China. The meeting included a detailed exchange of views on investment opportunities in Sindh’s transport and energy sectors.

Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Provincial Minister for Energy, Planning and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah engaged with Yutong officials, reviewing the company’s latest bus models and their suitability for Pakistan, particularly Sindh. Minister Memon emphasized the Sindh government’s commitment to providing safe and reliable public transport.

Highlighting the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone’s incentives, including a ten-year tax holiday and comprehensive infrastructure, Memon encouraged Yutong to consider local bus manufacturing to cater to the Pakistani market’s needs. He stressed the need for substantial improvement in Sindh’s transport system and the government’s aim to enhance the bus service in Karachi and other urban areas.

Minister Shah underscored the provincial government’s interest in environmentally friendly public transit using alternative energy, presenting Yutong’s buses as a viable solution. He promised full support for a transparent investment process and reiterated the administration’s commitment to improving public services while creating a sustainable environment for businesses.
