Guddu Barrage Water Inflow Decreases, Sukkur Barrage Sees Increase

The water level at Guddu Barrage is continuously decreasing, raising concerns about a potential water shortage in downstream areas. According to data released by Sindh’s Information Department, inflow at Guddu was recorded at 570,027 cusecs and outflow at 542,809 cusecs.

This decreasing trend was observed at several key points in the Indus River system. Inflow at Sukkur Barrage was recorded at 571,800 cusecs and outflow at 518,120 cusecs. Kotri Barrage saw an inflow of 300,853 cusecs and an outflow of 289,098 cusecs. At Panjnad, inflow was recorded at 194,279 cusecs and outflow at 185,729 cusecs.
