Sindh Public Service Commission Achieves Milestone With Computer-Based Tests

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) conducted its first-ever computer-based tests (CBT) on August 4, 2025, marking a significant step towards modernizing the recruitment process and enhancing transparency.

The CBT system, inaugurated by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on July 17, 2025, at the SPSC headquarters in Hyderabad, was utilized for the Lecturer (BPS-17) positions in Biology, Pakistan Studies, and Islamic Studies at the Provincial Institute of Teacher Education (PITE) under the School Education and Literacy Department.

The assessments were executed smoothly and securely, ensuring a fair testing environment for all applicants. The results for the Biology Lecturer position were released on the same day, August 4, 2025, via a press release.

The SPSC asserts this accomplishment demonstrates its commitment to meritocracy, refuting allegations of favoritism and corruption. The CBT system forms part of the commission’s broader digital transformation initiative aimed at increased openness.

Candidates responded positively to the new testing method, praising the SPSC for improving transparency, reducing delays, and enhancing convenience. The commission views this initiative not just as a technical advancement but as a strong affirmation of its dedication to good governance.

The SPSC chairman and leadership expressed gratitude to the team responsible for the successful implementation and pledged to expand CBT to future examinations for quicker, fairer, and more dependable recruitment. This achievement reinforces SPSC”s leading role in public sector reform and digitalization within Sindh.
