Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori declared education, healthcare, job opportunities, and improved roadways as fundamental rights for all citizens.
He stressed the government’s duty to guarantee these essential services during a tree-planting event in North Karachi”s Sector 11-A, part of the ‘Marka-e-Haq – Jashn-e-Azadi’ campaign.
Tessori noted that despite 77 years of independence, Pakistan still grapples with numerous public challenges. He urged the importance of nurturing a new generation that values respect and civic duty. National progress, he asserted, hinges on collaborative endeavors, with every individual contributing their part.
Prominent Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) figures, including Dr. Farooq Sattar and Anees Qaimkhani, along with elected officials and community leaders, attended the function. Citizens warmly greeted the Governor with a shower of flower petals upon his arrival.
Tessori initiated the tree planting drive by planting a sapling, encouraging widespread community participation. Numerous citizens, young and old, enthusiastically joined the activity, showcasing a vibrant display of patriotism.
The governor emphasized the significance of voting, describing it as a national responsibility. He advised citizens to cast their ballots judiciously, selecting representatives committed to public service and problem-solving.
Tessori pledged his continued advocacy for citizens’ rights at all levels. The event concluded with an Independence Day cake-cutting ceremony and a dazzling fireworks display.
