Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori met with Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Beijing to discuss strengthening Pakistan-China relations, particularly economic cooperation and security matters. During the talks, Minister Liu Jianchao acknowledged Tessori’s widespread recognition, calling him the “people’s governor,” a testament to public trust. Tessori extended an invitation to Liu Jianchao to visit Pakistan, which he gladly accepted.
Promoting deeper economic ties with China, Governor Tessori highlighted the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as a seamless platform for investors, facilitating financial matters. He reiterated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and the Pakistani people’s united commitment to financial stability and expansion.
Highlighting Pakistan’s cultural richness, Tessori invited the Chinese minister to experience Karachi’s cuisine, including “kata kat” and strong tea, on Business Road.
Addressing security concerns, Governor Tessori expressed apprehension about the involvement of Indian-backed elements in terrorist activities within Pakistan. He highlighted the united resolve of Pakistani citizens and armed forces against such threats.
