Nineteen militants linked to an Indian-supported extremist group were killed in three distinct operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on September 9-10, the military’s media wing announced on Thursday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that 14 insurgents were eliminated during a fierce firefight in the Guluno region of Mohmand District.

Acting on intelligence, security personnel conducted the operation.

In a separate engagement in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel area, four more extremists were neutralized.

Simultaneously, forces killed another militant in Bannu District.

Recovered from the deceased were weapons and ammunition. The ISPR stated the militants were actively engaged in numerous terrorist acts across the region.

Search operations are ongoing to eliminate any residual dangers. The Pakistan Army reiterated its commitment to eradicating India-sponsored extremism within the nation.
