President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari will embark on a nine-day official visit to China from September 12 to 21, 2025, accepting an invitation from the Chinese government, the Foreign Office announced on Thursday.

The Pakistani leader’s itinerary includes visits to Chengdu, Shanghai, and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, where he will engage with provincial officials. Discussions will center on strengthening Pakistan-China relations, with a particular emphasis on economic and trade collaboration, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and prospective connectivity projects.

The two nations will also explore collaboration within multilateral forums. The Foreign Office underscored the visit’s significance in highlighting the frequent high-level interactions between the two countries. It demonstrates their dedication to reinforcing their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.”

The trip reinforces mutual backing on key interests, promotes collaboration under CPEC, and emphasizes the joint commitment to regional peace, progress, and security.
