Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah today met with the newly appointed Consul General of Turkiye, Ergl Kadak, and the newly appointed Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Muhammad Sakib Sadakat, at CM House to discuss trade and investment opportunities.

Welcoming the diplomats, Shah reaffirmed Sindh’s commitment to bolstering relationships with fellow Muslim nations. During his discussion with Kadak, the chief minister underscored the robust historical bonds between Pakistan and Turkiye and advocated for increased bilateral commerce.

He outlined ongoing large-scale initiatives in Sindh, focusing on infrastructure development in transportation, power, and water resources. Mr. Shah encouraged Turkish financiers to consider ventures in Karachi”s public transit system, serving a population exceeding 21 million. Mr. Kadak praised Karachi”s welcoming atmosphere, describing it as a ‘great city with loving people,’ and expressed enthusiasm for investment possibilities. A follow-up meeting between Sindh’s Investment Department and the Turkish Consul General was scheduled to delve into potential ventures.

In his meeting with Mr. Sadakat, the chief minister emphasized the fraternal connection between Bangladesh and Pakistan and highlighted the importance of enhancing trade partnerships. The two officials explored avenues to fortify bilateral ties and addressed Pakistan”s recent flood crisis.

Shah reiterated Sindh”s appreciation for its relationships with Turkiye and Bangladesh, expressing anticipation for expanded collaboration in trade, investment, and developmental endeavors.
