The Sachal Unit of Karachi Police responded to a hijacking incident, successfully recovering a stolen truck and apprehending an armed suspect.

According to police spokesman, a citizen named Khalid reported to the Madadgar-15 helpline that armed individuals had hijacked a cement-laden truck near Sanober Green Plaza, Saadi Town, on Friday.

Upon receiving the alert, Sub-Inspector Rafiq and his team promptly arrived at the scene. During the pursuit, contact was maintained with the informant, who detailed that six armed suspects on three motorcycles had forcibly taken the truck, which carried 50 bags of cement.

Following the informant’s guidance, the police conducted an operation resulting in the recovery of the truck. One suspect, Tanzil, son of Muhammad Ashraf, was apprehended at the scene. Authorities seized a 30 bore pistol along with six live rounds from the suspect.

The arrested individual and the recovered vehicle have been handed over to the relevant police station for further legal proceedings.
