Governor KPK Faisal Karim Kundi received a warm welcome from UAE Counsel General H.E Bakheet Ateeq Al Romaithi during his visit to the UAE Consulate in Karachi on Friday.

During the meeting, Kundi highlighted the longstanding relationship between the UAE and Pakistan, emphasizing the UAE as a second home for many Pakistanis, particularly the significant Pashtun population working there. He proposed the establishment of a UAE Consulate in Peshawar to further strengthen ties.

Kundi also discussed the upcoming Pakistan Mines and Minerals Conference in Islamabad, encouraging the UAE business community to explore investment opportunities in KPK’s mineral sector.

While touring the consulate, Kundi inaugurated the Consulate’s Business Visa Section. Al Romaithi explained that this new section aims to facilitate mutual investments, improve business ease, and enhance bilateral business relations. He announced that Pakistani citizens are now eligible for a five-year visa program, which is expected to further enhance ties between the two nations.

The UAE Counsel General recognized Pakistan’s contributions to the UAE’s development and pledged continued support to the country.
