Pushtun nationalist parties in Balochistan today voiced strong opposition to the forced deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan.

During a press conference at the Quetta Press Club, leaders from various Pushtun factions, including the Pushtunkhwa National Awami Party and Awami National Party Balochistan, expressed grave concern over the treatment of Afghan refugees by the provincial government.

Nasrullah Zarae, Asghar Khan Achakzai, Ahmed Jan Lala, and Noor Bacha, among others, criticized the government’s actions, labeling them inhumane. The leaders announced the formation of a five-member committee to engage in dialogue with authorities regarding the deportations.

They highlighted the rise in terrorism in Pushtun-majority regions of Balochistan and alleged a conspiracy to displace Pushtuns from their ancestral lands.

The leaders rejected the fake allotment of lands in these areas and condemned the crackdown on Pushtun Tahafuz Movement and Baloch Yekjehti Committee members. They called for the recovery of missing political workers and urged the acceptance of demands from the Chaman protest sit-in against the single document regime policy.
