Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today extended an invitation to both local and international investors to invest in Pakistan’s vast natural resources, which are valued in the trillions of dollars.
During his address at the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 in Islamabad, Sharif expressed confidence that utilizing these substantial assets could help Pakistan eliminate its reliance on loans.
He underscored the country’s policy of prohibiting the export of raw materials, advocating instead for the export of finished and semi-finished products as a mutually beneficial approach. Any investment agreements, he noted, should ensure the transfer of technology to Pakistan over time.
Sharif also encouraged entrepreneurs to form joint ventures focused on training the youth in modern skills through vocational training centers. He stressed that collaboration among federal and provincial governments, alongside other institutions, is essential to position Pakistan as a leading global player.
