In two separate encounters, Karachi police apprehended five robbers and recovered weapons during encounters in different areas of the city.

The Karachi police spokesperson said here today, the first encounter unfolded at Bakhtawar Goth near Bheans Colony, where police engaged in a shootout with a group of robbers.

One suspect, identified as Sameer, son of Riaz, was captured in an injured state, while his accomplices managed to escape. Authorities recovered a pistol, ammunition, and mobile phones from the scene. The injured suspect was transported to a hospital, with an investigation currently in progress.

In a separate encounter at Nazimabad Block T near Tanki Ground, police arrested four robbers following the exchange of gunfire.

Among the arrested were Arsalan, son of Mohammad Aslam, and Yasir, son of Mohammad Akmal, both of whom sustained injuries. The other two suspects, Ahmed, son of Allah Rakha, and Danish, son of Mohammad Yousuf, were also taken into custody. Police seized two pistols, ammunition, and a motorcycle. The injured suspects were taken to a hospital, and further investigations are ongoing.
