Mehwish Appointed as Chairperson of ‘KAGF’ Legal Aid Committee

The Katchi Abadis and Goth Federation of Pakistan (KAGF) has appointed renowned legal expert Barrister Syeda Mehwish Hira Ali as the Chairperson of its Legal Aid Committee. The purpose of her appointment is to liberate the residents of informal settlements and villages from the oppression of the land and builder mafia.

The announcement of this appointment was made by the lifelong Chairman of KAGF, Ambassador of Peace Sahibzada Ahmed Imran Naqshbandi, following the approval of the executive council. Barrister Syeda Mehwish Hira Ali has been congratulated on her appointment, and it is hoped that she will play a significant role in resolving the issues of informal settlements with her experience.

Barrister Mehwish aims to ensure the provision of ownership rights and basic necessities to the residents of informal settlements and villages. Efforts will be intensified to implement the Government of Sindh’s declaration of December 31, 2011, in this regard.

According to the constitution and manifesto of KAGF, Barrister Mehwish will expedite the resolution of issues faced by informal settlements and intensify the legal struggle against the land and builder mafia. She will play a crucial role in providing free legal assistance to the residents.
