Pakistan’s Future Lies in the Hands of Youth: National Assembly Speaker

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, marking International Youth Day, emphasized the crucial role of youth in Pakistan’s future, highlighting their potential for progress and prosperity. With over 60 percent of the country’s population comprising individuals below a certain age, Sadiq stressed the utmost importance of equipping them with scientific knowledge and modern technology for national development.

The Speaker lauded the inherent capabilities of Pakistani youth, citing their global achievements across diverse fields. Referencing their unity during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, he expressed confidence in their capacity to address national challenges. Sadiq urged a focus on equipping youth with cutting-edge digital skills and scientific knowledge.

According to Sadiq, the current Parliament is committed to empowering the younger generation. He outlined ongoing internship initiatives within the National Assembly designed to familiarize participants with the Pakistani Constitution and parliamentary procedures. The Speaker also praised the Youth Parliamentarians Forum’s active role in addressing youth-related issues.

Sadiq believes that nurturing the skills of young individuals is essential for building a brighter future. In this regard, he termed Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s launch of the “Prime Minister’s Youth Program” a commendable initiative.
