Syed Rafiullah, Member of the National Assembly (MNA), has been unanimously chosen to lead the National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. His election occurred during a committee session at Parliament House on Tuesday.

The National Assembly Secretariat’s Joint Secretary (Committees) outlined the election process to the assembled members. Rafiullah’s nomination, put forward by MNA Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti and supported by MNA Mohammad Ilyas Choudhry, faced no opposition.

The Joint Secretary conveyed congratulations from the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Secretary General of the National Assembly, promising complete secretarial backing for the committee’s operations. Rafiullah expressed gratitude for the members’ trust and vowed to manage the committee’s business through consensus.

Fellow committee members, including the ruling party’s Chief Whip, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and PPP Whip Aijaz Hussain Jhakrani, offered their felicitations and pledged full collaboration on legislative matters.

The session included MNAs Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, Mian Khan Bugti, Fateh Ullah Khan, Zulfiqar Ali Behan, Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, Ms. Sofia Saeed Shah, and Mohammad Ilyas Chaudhry, as well as high-ranking officials from the National Assembly Secretariat.
