Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir NI (M), Chief of Army Staff, addressed a Grand Jirga of tribal elders, emphasizing a united front against Indian-sponsored proxies in Balochistan.
The leaders highlighted the intensified efforts by these groups to destabilize the province and urged the tribal leadership to deny them local support.
The Prime Minister stressed that terrorists like Fitna Al-Hindustan must find no social space, underscoring grassroots engagement as crucial for counter-terrorism success and long-term stability. He declared that enemies of peace would find no space to operate within Pakistan, with the government and armed forces determined to defeat terrorism decisively.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir asserted that the proxy war waged by India is an open act of terrorism, with concrete evidence of India”s involvement in terrorist networks in Balochistan. He reassured that the Pakistan Army, supported by the nation and brave Baloch people, will confront and crush any threat to the country”s sovereignty.
The Jirga concluded with a pledge from tribal elders to support the government”s efforts for security and development in Balochistan. Earlier, Prime Minister Sharif also visited the Command and Staff College in Quetta, discussing the importance of operational readiness and strategic foresight in addressing regional threats.
