Pakistan and Tajikistan successfully completed a joint counter-terrorism exercise, strengthening their cooperative defense efforts. The exercise, dubbed “Dosti-II,” took place from August 4th to 9th at the Fakhrobod Base in Tajikistan.
The training involved two combat groups from the Pakistan Army’s Light Commando Battalion and four groups from Tajikistan’s Special Forces, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The collaborative training focused on enhancing counter-terrorism proficiency by refining maneuvers, protocols, and operational strategies. It also aimed to reinforce the existing military partnership between the two nations.
Pakistan’s Defence Attaché to Tajikistan, Colonel Muhammad Muazzam Zafar, served as the Chief Guest from the Pakistani side during the closing ceremony, which was also attended by high-ranking Tajik military officials.
The soldiers from both countries exhibited impressive professionalism during the drills. The exercise successfully met all planned training and diplomatic objectives, signifying a significant step forward in bilateral defense collaboration.
