Pakistan has voiced serious concerns over the humanitarian consequences following India’s decision to revoke visas of Pakistani citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the plight of many Pakistanis, including patients in delicate health conditions, who have been compelled to return home before completing their medical treatments.

The Ministry’s spokesperson addressed media inquiries about the status of the Wagah border crossing for Pakistanis heading back from India. Reports indicate troubling scenarios, such as families being separated, with some children left without one of their parents.

The spokesperson verified that the last official date for crossing the Wagah-Attari border was set for April 30, 2025. Despite this, media reports have surfaced, indicating that some Pakistani nationals remain stranded at Attari on the Indian side.

Pakistan remains prepared to facilitate the return of its citizens if Indian authorities allow them to cross the border, the spokesperson conveyed. Furthermore, it was reassured that the Wagah border will continue to be accessible for Pakistani citizens in the future.
