Pakistan Military Vows Unwavering Support For Kashmiris’ Right To Self-Determination

On Youm-e-Istehsal, the Pakistan Armed Forces reiterated their unwavering commitment to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and their right to self-determination. A statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) conveyed the united stance of the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, and all personnel, expressing resolute backing for the Kashmiris” pursuit of freedom.

The declaration emphasized the Pakistani military”s full endorsement of the ongoing liberation movement in IIOJK, grounded in international law and UN Security Council resolutions. The military leaders denounced India”s continuing occupation, highlighting the severe military restrictions, extensive human rights violations, and demographic manipulations as flagrant breaches of international norms.

The ISPR statement further noted India”s belligerent actions and inflammatory pronouncements as destabilizing factors in the region, exacerbating the suffering of the Kashmiri population. The Pakistan Armed Forces underscored that enduring peace in South Asia hinges on a just resolution of the Kashmir conflict, aligned with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and UN mandates.

Honoring the sacrifices of those who have died in IIOJK, the armed forces reaffirmed their enduring pledge to stand in solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their quest for liberty and justice.
