Pakistan, Indonesia To Collaborate On Vaccine Production

Pakistan and Indonesia are poised to significantly enhance their collaboration in healthcare, with a primary focus on vaccine development.

Rahmat Hindiarta Kusuma, Indonesian Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan, met with Dr Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Pakistan’s Minister of State for National Health Services, today to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in the health domain.

The meeting explored several avenues for joint initiatives, including vaccine manufacturing in Pakistan, building healthcare facilities in Indonesia, advancements in pharmaceuticals, and the exchange of personnel.

Dr Bharath affirmed Pakistan’s dedication to this collaboration, emphasizing the strategic importance of the partnership with Indonesia. He stressed the significance of government-to-government and citizen-to-citizen connections in fostering robust health infrastructure. The minister pinpointed vaccine production as a key shared interest. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to furthering cooperation and translating these objectives into practical health programs benefiting both countries.
