Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to launch Sindh-style Pink Bus: Governor Kundi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi announced plans to replicate Sindh’s successful women-centric transport programs in his province after meeting with Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon in Karachi.

Memon welcomed Kundi to his Karachi office, where the KP governor praised the Sindh administration’s recently approved budget as citizen-centric. He particularly lauded Sindh’s advancements in public transport, highlighting the Pink Bus, Pink Taxi, and Pink Scooter schemes.

Kundi advocated for Punjab and KP to follow Sindh’s example in empowering women, specifically mentioning the transport projects. He attributed the foundation of such initiatives to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and commended President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for continuing her legacy.

The governor cited President Zardari’s Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and Chairman Bilawal’s program of granting property ownership to women in flood-affected areas as particular examples.

Kundi reiterated his commitment to implementing similar Pink transport projects in KP.
