On the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Monsoon Emergency Plan 2025 has been launched in the province, under which a 24-hour emergency response system has been activated to deal with possible monsoon disasters.
Emergency operation hubs have been established in every district to coordinate relief operations during the rainy season and ensure prompt action. These centers will operate around the clock, enabling immediate response to any crisis.
Preemptive measures are being taken to mitigate flood risks in urban areas across Punjab. Drainage systems are being cleared and rainwater passages are being cleaned to facilitate water flow and minimize flood risks.
The provincial administration has reiterated its commitment to protecting life and property during the monsoon season. The mobilization demonstrates the government’s preparedness to handle emergencies and ensure public safety during the expected downpours.
