Greenwich University and MDC Sign Agreement for Development and Research

Greenwich University (GU) and the Management and Development Centre (MDC) have established a three-year strategic partnership to promote joint research, policy formulation, and capacity building in Pakistan and internationally. Formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing in Karachi, the agreement unites both institutions in their commitment to educational and socio-economic development.

GU, a private university chartered by the Government of Sindh, and MDC, a development support organization registered under Section 32 of the Companies Ordinance, will collaborate on research, training, policy formulation, and inter-sectoral coordination.

Under the agreement, the institutions will collaborate on securing local and international funding, organizing joint seminars and conferences, and publishing impactful research on development issues. They will also engage in diplomatic and strategic initiatives aligned with their shared objectives.

Speaking at the signing, GU’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Seema Mughal, Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, highlighted the university’s dedication to harnessing intellectual strength for sustainable development. She stated, “This alliance reflects our belief in innovation driven by collaborative efforts, crucial for tackling today’s complex development obstacles.”

MDC’s Managing Director Dr. Muhammad Yameen expressed confidence in the collaboration. He said, “This partnership will amplify our collective abilities to deliver cutting-edge research and practical development solutions across diverse sectors. We highly value Greenwich University as a key partner in our shared vision for national progress.”

Attendees included Awais Inayat Memon, MDC Chief Operating Officer; Hazibullah Memon, Sindh Government Director of Information; Dr. Rab Nawaz, Director QEC; Ali Gilani; Fatima Agha Shah, Advisor to the Chancellor; Dean Dr. Mary Leber; and GU representatives.

The MoU emphasizes professional expertise, confidentiality, and respect in joint endeavors. It establishes a framework for dispute resolution and highlights both organizations’ commitment to quality and integrity. The partnership represents a progressive approach to national development and is expected to deliver significant outcomes in the years to come.
