Kashmiris Abroad Should Highlight Indian Atrocities: AJK president

The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has stated that the role of expatriate Kashmiris has been crucial in keeping the Kashmir issue alive on the global stage.

He urged Kashmiris to organize and become active in highlighting the ongoing atrocities committed by India in Occupied Kashmir at the international level. President Azad Jammu and Kashmir made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of overseas Kashmiris from around the world at the Kashmir House in Islamabad.

The meeting included prominent figures such as Raja Faheem Kayani, the President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK, among others. President Sultan Mahmood said that since August 5, 2019, India has been inflicting severe oppression on the Kashmiri people in Occupied Kashmir and is escalating brutality through false flag operations. He urged overseas Kashmiris to raise their voices in favor of Kashmiris on global forums and expose the Indian atrocities.

The President further stated that the world has become aware of India’s false propaganda and is viewing India as an international terrorist. He informed the overseas Kashmiris that due to Pakistan-India tensions, his visit abroad was not possible, but he intends to highlight the Kashmir issue internationally soon.
