Pakistan-India Tensions: PM Sharif Discusses Regional Stability with Qatar’s Amir

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, expressing gratitude for Qatar’s unwavering support for Pakistan. The dialogue underscored the enduring ties between the two nations amid recent developments in South Asia.

During the call, the Prime Minister condemned terrorism unequivocally and highlighted Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terror. He firmly dismissed India’s accusations linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident, advocating for a credible international investigation.

Sharif also conveyed deep concerns regarding India’s management of the Indus Basin waters, emphasizing the critical importance of this resource for Pakistan’s population. He reiterated that Pakistan’s current focus on economic stability would not benefit from involvement in regional incidents.

The Amir of Qatar commended Pakistan’s peace efforts in South Asia and expressed Qatar’s willingness to collaborate with Pakistan to ease current tensions.
