Journalists Should Play a Full Role in Resolving the Kashmir Issue and Atrocities in the Occupied Valley: AJK President

Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry congratulated the newly elected officials of the Central Press Club Muzaffarabad and expressed the hope that they would play their full role in resolving the Kashmir issue and against the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. Sajjad Mir has been elected as President, while Senior Vice President Nasir Anwar, Vice President Tanveer Tanoli and other officials include Additional General Secretary Raja Khalid, Joint Secretary Shahzeb Afzal, Finance Secretary Ansar Siddique Khawaja, Information Secretary Mir Basharat and Secretary Ishfaq Hussain Shah.

The AJK President also commended the members of the new executive council, Tariq Naqash, Sarfaraz Khawaja, Aslam Mir, Arif Arifi, Ghulam Raza Kazmi, Abbas Gardezi, and Farooq Mughal.

Chaudhry praised the advocacy history of the Central Press Club Muzaffarabad, especially its efforts to highlight the plight of the people of Azad Kashmir and expose human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir. He expressed confidence that the incoming leadership will uphold these important duties, raise the voice of the people of Azad Kashmir, and condemn human rights violations at the national and international levels. The President further urged the new team to uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
