Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed to expedite the completion of the “Apna Ghar, Apni Chhat” project, which aims to provide houses to deserving families. During a briefing, the Chief Minister was informed that loans worth PKR 60.5 billion have already been distributed among 51,911 families.

According to a PML-N statement released on X (formerly Twitter), more than 51,000 families have fulfilled their dream of owning a home through this program. Currently, 45,178 houses are under construction, and 6,160 houses have been completed.

Chief Minister Sharif emphasized that the welfare of citizens is the primary measure of any policy’s success, reflecting the vision of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his commitment to public service. She declared that providing housing to the less fortunate is a manifestation of the government’s effective performance.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced a focus on serving the people, moving beyond traditional politics. She termed the “Apna Ghar, Apni Chhat” project a revolutionary step for the underprivileged, going beyond mere construction. She highlighted the program’s unique scope in addressing the housing needs of Pakistan’s poor and homeless population. The Chief Minister reiterated her commitment to providing a home to every citizen of Punjab.
