The provincial president of the Jamhoori Watan Party, Nawabzada Gohram Bugti, has announced a long march from Dera Bugti to Quetta on April 4 for the release of the leaders of the Baloch Solidarity Committee.
According to reports, Nawabzada Gohram Bugti decided on the long march in protest against the arrest of the Baloch Solidarity Committee’s chief organizer, Dr. Mehrang Baloch, and other leaders. The government has sealed the entry and exit points of Dera Bugti and suspended the network in the district to prevent this long march.
Government actions also include sealing Nawabzada Gohram Bugti’s petrol pumps. These steps have been taken to halt the long march.
Additionally, a protest sit-in is ongoing in the Lakpas area of Mastung district by the Balochistan National Party-Mengal. The sit-in demands the release of Dr. Mehrang Baloch and other leaders from the government.
