The Met Office forecasts an approaching strong westerly wave, poised to bring widespread rain, wind, and thunderstorms, including hailstorms and snowfall over high mountains.
On Thursday, the Met Office highlighted that regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir should brace for significant rainfall, wind, and thunderstorms, with snow anticipated over the mountainous areas.
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad are also on alert for similar weather conditions, with some heavy rainfalls and hailstorms included in the prediction.
Meanwhile, areas including Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala can expect rain, wind, thunderstorms, and occasional hailstorms as this weather system advances.
The public is advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions as this weather system moves through the Western and Upper Parts of the country.
