IHC adjourns Al-Qadir Trust case against Imran, Bushra sine die

ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday adjourned the Al-Qadir Trust registration case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi for an indefinite period.

IHC judge Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the case. Talib Hussain Advocate appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner while Hazrat Younis appeared on behalf of the state council.

“Some documents are incomplete in registration under new rules,” the state council’s lawyer told the court. “If we are told which items or documents are incomplete, we will complete them,” the petitioner’s lawyer stated.

“Tell him all the things that are incomplete,” the court directed the State Council’s lawyer to tell the petitioner’s lawyer about all things that are incomplete. “The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been summoning Bushra Bibi, sometimes for voice matching and sometimes for other reasons,” the PTI chairman’s lawyer Latif Khosa told the court.

“Bushra Bibi is being repeatedly summoned and harassed. We request that the FIA be stopped from harassing Bushra Bibi,” he demanded. “I cannot stop an investigation agency from investigations. When there is a violation of law, you can challenge it,” Justice Babar Sattar said.
