A meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Human Rights called of on Thursday after failing to reach a quorum. Scheduled for 11:30 a.m. in the Ministry of Human Rights Committee Room, Pak Secretariat, Kohsar Block, the session began with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
After a one-hour delay, attending members protested the cancellation, emphasizing the difficulties faced by representatives traveling from across the nation. They argued against short-notice cancellations.
Present at the aborted gathering were MNAs Shahida Rehmani, Naz Baloch, Sehar Kamran, and Naveed Amir, along with high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Human Rights and its associated agencies.
