Govt Supports Flood-Ravaged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The federal government is actively supporting residents impacted by recent floods and torrential downpours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, according to Prime Minister’s Coordinator on KP Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan.

The coordinator revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached out to KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur immediately following the disaster. The Prime Minister instructed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to deliver essential supplies, including sustenance, medical provisions, temporary shelters, and other aid.

Mr. Khan emphasized the exacerbating role of climate change and logging in the province”s amplified natural calamities. He highlighted the necessity of collaborative endeavors between federal and provincial administrations to address the issue.
