The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) announced on 24 June 2025 that Fatima Razaq has been awarded the prestigious Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim Fellowship for 2025. Razaq will research the characteristics, extent and causes of online child sexual abuse on digital platforms in Pakistan. Her research report will be compiled and published under the auspices of HRCP.

This fellowship has been established in memory of the late Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim, a distinguished legal scholar and founding member of HRCP, and is awarded annually to human rights defenders to complete an independent research project. This year’s fellow was selected by an independent panel of human rights experts.
