PM Calls For Diplomatic Push Amid Middle East Escalation

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today initiated urgent diplomatic conversations with Saudi Arabia and Qatar amidst alarming reports of an Iranian missile strike on a US military installation in Qatar.

In separate calls to Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malkiy and Qatari Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa AlKhater, the Prime Minister voiced grave anxieties over the alleged attack and emphasized the critical need for deescalation and a peaceful resolution to the escalating Middle East conflict.

Sharif underscored Pakistan”s commitment to collaborating with Saudi Arabia in promoting peace initiatives. He pledged ongoing close coordination with the kingdom to expedite a peaceful settlement. The Saudi envoy echoed the sentiment, confirming the necessity of joint SaudiPakistani efforts in achieving a swift resolution.

During his dialogue with the Qatari representative, Sharif expressed solidarity with the nation and its citizens. He reiterated the imperative of reducing regional strains to restore stability. Both ambassadors agreed on the need for immediate action to avert further conflict.
