ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will fulfill its responsibility of conducting free, fair and transparent elections according to Article 218 (3) of the Constitution.
Article 218 (3) of the Constitution states that, “It shall be the duty of the Election Commission to organize and conduct the election and to make such arrangements as are necessary to ensure that the election is conducted honestly, justly, fairly and in accordance with law, and that corrupt practices are guarded against”.
Talking to media here in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said we will support the election commission in this regard. He said everybody in Pakistan has the freedom to express opinion, complain and criticize.
Murtaza Solangi said the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar informed the public about his visit to the United Arab Emirates last night through a video message.
