Healthy activities enhance positive image of varsities: Governor Sindh

KARACHI: The National Idea Bank (NIB), a collaboration among the academia, government, and industry, aims at addressing the indigenous issues through application of technology and innovations in business and governance models.

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said this while addressing at the closing ceremony of National Idea Bank, Provincial Level Competition here at Karachi University’s Auditorium today. He said that the purpose of this “Idea Hunting Competition” was to find solutions of the industrial problems and social challenges in an efficient and effective manner.

“The NIB program works on identifying the talented youth of our country. I am certain that the stakeholders of this program are prepared to give the entrepreneurs adequate recognition and support promotion of their businesses”, he observed.

He said that the healthy academic and co-academic competitions and events always enhance the positive image of universities. “I believe that competitions like this even bear significant influence on the overall contribution towards positive industrial future of this country.”, he added.

He appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, the Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi and his team for hosting such a superb event. He also congratulated those who received the prizes. Later on, he distributed cash prizes and among the winners.
