Seven more die of Covid in Pakistan

Karachi: Pakistan on Saturday reported seven deaths due to Covid and 353 new virus cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the number of positive cases has surged to 1,293,081 and the countrywide death toll from the pandemic so far has jumped to 28,905.

The NCOC data shsow 13,062 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,661 in Sindh 5,921 in KP, 966 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB. The data shows 480,288 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,496 in Punjab 181,167 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,425 in Islamabad, 34,655 in Azad Kashmir 33,621 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 23,096,757 coronavirus tests and 48,148 in the last 24 hours. 1,254,413 patients have recovered in the country whereas 624 patients are in critical condition. The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.73 percent.
