Urgent Appeal For Flood Relief As Epidemic Threat Looms

Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday pleaded with national and international aid groups for immediate relief and rehabilitation assistance for flood victims in South Punjab and other regions of Pakistan. Displaced families also face severe food and essential commodity shortages, demanding swift domestic and global collaboration.

Meanwhile, political consultations continued at the President House. Separately, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Secretary General Humayun Khan briefed the Acting President on the party’s current political engagements and organizational issues.

Acting President Gilani emphasized that public well-being, democratic stability, and national unity are paramount to overcoming Pakistan’s obstacles. He encouraged all political factions and establishments to collaborate on addressing public concerns and fostering national advancement.
