UN Security Council Urges Prompt Action Amid Escalating Indo-Pak Tensions

In a bid to address the intensifying tensions between Pakistan and India, the President of the United Nations Security Council for this month, Evangelos Sekeris of Greece, has expressed optimism for a swift meeting of the 15-member council.

During a press briefing in New York, Sekeris acknowledged the gravity of the situation and emphasized the council’s vigilant monitoring of the developments. He assured that the council is keen on initiating efforts aimed at de-escalation, stating, “We are prepared to deal with it, of course.”

The pressing circumstances between the neighboring nations have caught global attention, with the Security Council poised to take necessary measures to mitigate the crisis. Ambassador Sekeris remains hopeful that diplomatic efforts will pave the way for easing the current tensions between the two countries.
