KARACHI: Two friends enjoying the second day of Eid with their near and dear ones drowned at Seaview in Karachi on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, a group of ten people comprising boys and youth from Gulshan-e-Hadeed area visited Seaview in Karachi to celebrate the second day of Eid. While bathing, two of them, Danial and Sonu, drowned.

The divers recovered one body of one victim while search for another was underway, said police. The happiness of Eid turned into mourning at the houses of the victims. The beach authorities have failed to stop visitors from bathing in the sea despite ban.
