Residents of the Kanche Union Council in the Chotair area of Ziarat staged a protest, blocking the ZiaratSanjavi Highway, against the discovery of seven bodies.

Protesters, speaking to the media, reported that unknown individuals had dumped seven bodies near the Kanche Dam, all riddled with bullets. They stated that this incident is tantamount to tarnishing the reputation of the peaceful area of Chotair.

The protesters were unaware of where the operation took place that resulted in these deaths, but the dumping of the bodies near Chotair has defamed the area.

At the time of this report, the ZiaratSanjavi Highway remained closed to all types of traffic.

The Counter Terrorism Department claimed that, acting on a tipoff, they had conducted an operation in the Chotair area of Ziarat district, resulting in the killing of seven terrorists belonging to the banned organization BLA.
