Railways Signs Agreement with RWMC to Enhance Cleanliness

Pakistan Railways Rawalpindi Division has entered into an agreement with the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) to improve cleanliness services at key railway stations, in line with federal directives to enhance passenger facilities.

The agreement, signed under the supervision of Divisional Superintendent Railways Rawalpindi, Nooruddin Dawood, transfers the responsibility of sanitation at Rawalpindi, Margalla, and Chaklala stations and adjacent areas to RWMC. The initiative is part of efforts to upgrade cleanliness standards across the division to match international benchmarks.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Dawood stated that Pakistan Railways remains committed to providing passengers with hygienic and wellmaintained stations, aligning with the broader vision of a modern and customeroriented railway network.

RWMC Managing Director Rana Sajid Safdar announced that his company would deploy trained staff and modern equipment to ensure efficient and sustainable sanitation services at the designated locations.

Officials described the partnership as a step towards the longterm objective of achieving “Clean Railway, Clean Pakistan.”
