KARACHI: Pakistan Wednesday reported three deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,571,413. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,603 so far.
According to the latest figures by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 118 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours. Pakistan has conducted 16,973 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 118 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 0.70 percent.
Meanwhile, 161 new cases of dengue were reported in Karachi during the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported. According to the data, a total 161 dengue cases registered in the last 24 hours, 36 were reported in District East, 21 in District Central, 32 in Korangi, 25 in District South, eight in District Malir, four in District West, and eight in District Keamari.
