Tablighi Ijtima underway

Karachi:The first phase of the Tablighi Ijtima in Raiwind Friday continued on the second day in which hundreds of thousands of devotees were taking part.

 

The first phase of the Ijtima started on Thursday and would be continued till November 6. A large number of delegates and scholars from abroad including India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Europe are participating in the congregation.

 

On the first day, the congregation saw speeches by renowned scholars on a continuous basis, as the attendees said special prayers. On the second of the mass gathering, the day began with a special sermon, followed by the directives for the day and a collective prayer.

 

Earlier, renowned scholars spoke about the importance of having complete faith in Allah. They said other than the Almighty no one can provide you with anything or deprive you of it. They were told that success and honour with Allah alone, and that putting the daily obligatory prayers in order would set other affairs in life in order too.

 

The speakers also spoke about offering obligatory prayers with a complete focus, saying it was a communication with the Almighty. More than 2,500 officers and personnel of police have been deployed for the security of the devotees. At least 800 wardens have also been posted to keep the traffic flowing on the routes of the Ijtima.

 

A special desk has also been established in the Tablighi Markaz for the registration of foreign participants. The surveillance of sensitive areas and the venue are also being done with CCTV cameras and drone cameras. The 3-day gathering will conclude on Sunday morning after prayers.
