Speakers call for devising road map for Kashmir settlement

ISLAMABAD:,,, Speakers at an event stressed the need for devising a road map for settlement of the Kashmir dispute, acceptable to Pakistan, India and above all the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are fundamental party to the dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service report, the event was organized by Global Peace Movement Jammu and Kashmir. It was presided over by APHC-AJK leader Muhammad Hussain Khateeb.

Kashmiri intellectual Najamul Saqib and President of the Institute of Peace and Development Dr. Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum participated in the event as special guests. The function was held at the APHC-AJK office in Islamabad.

The speakers appealed to the international powers to play their effective role to prevent serious violations of human rights in Palestine and Kashmir and for the establishment of peace in South Asia and the Middle East.

At the end, prayers were offered for the founder chairman of Pir Panjal Peace Foundation, Master Muhammad Hussain Kalas, father of Hurriyat leader Nazir Ahmed Karnai, and Syed Farazin Qadri and other martyrs and deceased.

Mehmood Akhtar Qureshi Advocate, Dr. Muhammad Yaqub Wani, Nazir Ahmed Butt, Khurshid Ahmed Mir, and Chaudhry Muhammad Shafi participated in the event.
