Sindh pushes for green transportation with the inauguration of the first ENVEREX EV electric car showroom by Provincial Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.
The minister, joined by ENVEREX Industries CEO Muhammad Zakir Ali and other officials, opened the facility and examined the displayed vehicles, receiving a briefing on the cars and post-purchase support, including home charging installation.
Minister Shah told the press, ‘We commend the domestic manufacturing of electric vehicles and pledge our full backing. The running cost for these vehicles is merely four rupees per kilometer.”
Following Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari”s environmental focus, the Sindh administration is actively encouraging green energy initiatives. Public land will host charging stations, and new constructions in Sindh must incorporate charging provisions. Stations will appear in major cities and along highways every 30 to 40 kilometers for driver convenience.
Dedicated funding, directed by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, will support environmentally conscious ventures. The Sindh government is dedicated to providing necessary resources for such projects, aiming to transition more cars and motorcycles to electric power. The availability of charging infrastructure is crucial to the success of electric vehicle adoption, Shah stressed.
‘Investors in eco-friendly businesses will receive governmental support. The Sindh government encourages local manufacturing and will provide tax breaks for the electric vehicle sector,’ the minister confirmed.
The showroom opening concluded with a celebratory cake-cutting and the presentation of traditional Sindhi gifts to the provincial minister.
